Do you know a long-time volunteer who deserves to be recognized for their outstanding contributions?

Is there a team in your community who has displayed strong team work, excellent sportsmanship and achieved success at either the local, regional or provincial level?

We are currently asking for communities to nominate deserving athletes and volunteers in the following categories (please click on appropriate category below for online nomination form):

Male and Female Athlete of the Year
Male and Female Coach of the Year
Team of the Year
Educator of the Year
President’s Award
All nominations are recognized with a letter of congratulations and the eventual winners will be presented with their awards at a special event.  Every winner is also forwarded on to Special Olympics Canada for National Recognition.

SOC NCCP Coaching Courses

All coaches that are looking to take either the SOC Competitive or Community Coaching Course please visit the registration page at: https://secure.e2rm.com/registrant/startup.aspx?eventid=25006

The courses that are currently being offered throughout the province are as follows:

April 17-18, 2010, Arnprior - Competitive Course

April 18, 2010, Whitby - Community Course

APRIL 24-GRIMSBY - Community Sports Coach Course

May 15-16, 2010, Dryden - Competitive Course

Please note that there will be no other SOC courses offered until the fall of 2010. Coaches Week

This year coaches week is April 17-24, 2010. To celebrate coaches week the Coaches Association of Ontario will be offering a number of free NCCP coaching courses again this year.
