On Friday, March 5th, the Toronto Gliders and Agincourt Civitan Gliders Figure Skating Clubs were given the opportunity to skate with Mickey and Minnie Mouse as Disney On Ice invited the Special Olympics Toronto clubs to a private skate at the Rogers Centre. The Special Olympics athletes got to learn a few tricks from the professional Disney skaters, who volunteered their time to work with the athletes. Our figure skaters were given medals and had the opportunity to interact with local media. A big thank you to Disney On Ice for the generous invitation and Toronto Gliders and Agincourt Civitan Gliders Figure Skating Clubs' Head Coach Karen Carruthers for organizing the event!
